대학 교양 음악교육과 인성교육 연계 방안

Incorporating College Liberal Arts Music Class with Character Education

본 연구는 대학교 교양 음악수업에서 인성교육을 연계한 학습 방안을 제안하기 위하여 수업에서 가르쳐야 하는 인성 요소를 선정하고, 그 인성 요소가 내재된 작곡가와 작품을 통해 다양한 음악 활동을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 Lickona의 윤리적 가치관(책임감, 배려, 공정성, 정직성, 자아 및 타인존중)이 내재된 작곡가(바흐, 하이든, 베토벤, 슈베르트, 라벨)의 이야기를 기반으로 다양한 음악 활동(감상, 창작, 가창, 기악)을 도덕적 인성의 세 가지 영역(인지적, 감정적, 행동적)이 고르게 함양하도록 제안하였다. 아울러 인성에 토대를 둔 상호 연결된 음악수업과 대학생의 삶을 연계하는 과정을 통해 교육적 인성 함양과 음악적 성장을 돕고 학습자에게 바른 가치관을 내면화하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to propose a method for incorporating elective liberal arts music class in college with character education. To this end, music by and stories about composers (Hayden, Schubert, Ravel, Bach, Beethoven) who s stories reflect Lickona s core ethical values (caring, honesty, respect for self and others, responsibility, fairness) are used as a basis for various musical activities (listening, composing, singing, instrument playing) that are adapted to address Lickona s three aspects of character development (cognitive, emotional, behavioral). These learning activities, by also engaging students to reflect personal life experiences and thoughts through them, could provide a meaningful way to enhance character development along with musical growth.
