鈍庵 金震休의 『鈍人隨錄』 考察

A Study of 『Dun In Su Rok』 of Kim Jin-hyu

19세기 유학자 김진휴는 자서 『둔인수록』서두에서 세상에 유명한 사람은 수 없이 많으나 그 이름을 금석에 새겨 영원히 없어지지 않게 하려면 성현이라도 글이 필요하다고 하였다. 따라서 글은 천박하거나 작은 일이 아니라고 하며 글을 쓰는 사람의 겸허한 마음을 강조하였다. 또 범례에서는 스스로 자신의 글은 망양지탄의 학문이니 두서가 없다. 패관과 서와 발의 문장은 두루 보지 못하였고, 그 문사만 취하여 두었다. 중늙은이의 시어가 경솔하고 망령한 뜻이 많다. 글이 산란하고 통일성이 없는 뜻을 취하였으니, 후학은 이 글을 표준으로 삼아서는 안 된다고 하였다. 그러므로 그는 자서에 대한 책명을 『둔인수록』이라고 할 수밖에 없다고 하였다. 그러나 김진휴는 내심 후학이 나의 뜻을 이어주어 잘잘못을 바로잡아 글을 같은 형식으로 나누고 모아 훗날 세상에 자신의 문집으로 간행되기를 바라는 솔직한 마음을 숨기지 않았다.

At the beginning of his book, Dun-in-Su-Rok, a 19th-century Confucian scholar, Jin-Hyu Kim said that there are many famous people in the world, but to keep the name inscribed on a gold stone so that it does not disappear forever, even sage needs to write. Therefore, he emphasized the humble mind of the writer, saying that writing is not frivolous or small. Also, in the introductory remarks, his writing is lamenting one s inability, so it is incoherent. I haven t read much of Phe-gwhan and writing of Seo and Bal , and I have only taken their writings. There are many things in my poetic words that are frivolous and vague. Since the writing is cluttered and lacking uniformity, later scholars said that this writing should not be used as a standard. Therefore, he said that he had no choice but to call his book Dun-in-Su-Rok . However, Kim Jin-hyu did not hide his honest heart, hoping that a later scholar from his inner heart would follow my will, correct his mistakes, share and collect articles in the same format as himself, and publish his anthology in the future.
