디지털 플랫폼 기반의 국내 선박관리산업 발전에 대한 연구

A Study on Development Plan for the Ship Management Industry based on Digital Platform in Korea

최근 스마트 자율운항 기술의 발전으로 선박관리산업의 역할에 대한 많은 변화가 예상된다. 이러한 기술과 환경의 변화에 따라 국내 선박관리산업은 미래를 대비하는 새로운 발전 방안의 마련이 필요한 시점이다. 그러나 현재 국내 선박관리기업은 글로벌 경쟁업체들과 비교하여 상대적으로 규모의 영세성, 높은 운영비 등으로 인하여 경쟁력이 열위에 있는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 이러한 문제를 보다 구체적으로 확인하기 위하여 국내·외 대표 선박관리기업에 대한 사례분석과 관계자들과의 심층 인터뷰를 통해 국내 선박관리산업의 글로벌 경쟁력과 한계점을 분석하였다. 이 연구는 단순히 물리적 선박관리가 아닌 디지털 플랫폼 공급자로서 선박관리산업의 역할 변화를 제시하고, 디지털 플랫폼 기반의 선박관리산업이 발전할 수 있는 방안으로 인프라 구축과 산업생태계 조성의 지원, 선박관리의 핵심 기술력 확보와 R&D 지원 등을 제시하였다.

The role of the ship management industry is expected to change due to the recent development of smart autonomous operation technology. As a result of this change, a new development plan for the domestic ship management industry in the future is needed. However, it is true that domestic ship management companies are relatively small compared to the global competitors and have inferior competitiveness. The global competitiveness and limitations of the domestic ship management industry were analyzed through case analysis of representative ship management companies at domestic and foreign and in-depth interviews with related parties. It now proposed changes in the role of the ship management industry as a digital platform supplier, not just physical ship management. It proposed ways to develop the ship management industry based on Digital Platform in Korea, such as supporting digital platform-based infrastructure and ecosystem creation, securing core technology in ship management and supporting R&D.
