옥외소화전 압력손실시험 및 기준 도입에 관한 연구

옥외소화전은 화재발생 시 소방호스를 이용하여 직접 화재를 진압할 수 있도록 적정 압력 및 유량의 소화용수를 제공하거나 소방자동차에 소화용수를 공급해 주는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 제조 판매되는 4개사의 옥외소화전에 대한 압력손실 측정 실험을 통한 압력손실 값을 비교 분석하였으며, 선진 해외기준인 UL 및 FM 등에서 정하고 있는 압력 손실 값을 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 현재 국내의 옥외소화전설비의 설계에는 지상식 옥외소화전에 대한 압력손실 값이 전혀 반영되지 않거나, 실험결과 선진 해외 규격에서 정한 특정 유량 값에서의 13.7 kPa의 압력손실의 기준을 초과하는 압력손실 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 형식승인 및 제품검사의 기술기준을 고시·운영하는 소방청과 한국소방산업기술원은 「소화전의 형식승인 및 제품검사의 기술기준」에 지상식 옥외소화전에 대한 압력손실 기준을 조속히 도입하여야 한다.

The outdoor fire hydrant system is one of the fire extinguishing systems that are operated and managed on the basis of the separate facility standards in the national fire safety standards. The most representative product among the outdoor fire hydrant systems is the ground type outdoor fire hydrant system. Therefore, in the domestic market, the outdoor fire hydrant is designated as a type approval subject to the laws and regulations, and only the products that meet the standards are installed and operated. However, the research on outdoor fire hydrants is very poor compared to other fire extinguishing products. Especially, although pressure loss is a very important characteristic and factor in outdoor fire hydrant. Even the people in public fire hydrants and producers do not know the loss of pressure on products. In fact, the design of the outdoor fire hydrant system does not reflect the pressure loss value for the ground type outdoor fire hydrant, or reflects the minimum pressure loss value defined by the UL standard at once. So, in this study, the pressure loss values of the four representative products manufactured and produced in Korea were measured and compared with the measured pressure loss values. The pressure loss values in domestic outdoor fire hydrant The standards UL, FM and the reference values were compared. As a result of this, it is possible to introduce the standard value of pressure loss in advanced domestic and foreign fire hydrants as soon as possible and to be able to effectively cope with the actual performance and response in the early and mid-term fire, Suggest that. In addition, manufacturers of outdoor fire hydrant are expected to secure accurate pressure loss data in order to secure competitiveness for their products.
