Activation Plan for Start-up of University Students through Social Big Data Analysis

In order to establish an effective start-up support policy, it is necessary to examine not only the institutional status of entrepreneurship but also the social perceptions hidden behind it. In particular, in spite of the government s active interests in and supports for university students jobs, the actual results perceived by the people are hardly realized in reality. The detailed analysis of the situations of the start-up is a prerequisite for the improvement of the policies and the development of new policies. In order to establish a more effective entrepreneurial support policy, social changes and opinions which cannot be identified by simple questionnaire survey and interviews with the participants should be reflected through the social big data in which various social perceptions and participants’ opinions are explicitly and implicitly reflected. Therefore, this study analyzed how the university students are responding and changing to major programs for university students start-up support policy through social big data analysis. Based on the results of this analysis, this study sought the plans of social media data targeting which is related to university students’ start-up support policy and presented the policy implications for the activation of university student start-up. Data collection period is a total of 8 years from January 1st 2010 to December 31st 2017, and the data were collected yearly basis. Collection channels are blogs (Naver, Daum) and Facebook. Keywords were university start-up, youth start-up, start-up support, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.
