The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the final evaluation of pilots flight training in Korean airlines. From 2011 to 2016, we used training survey data of 118 pilots who had been engaged in flight training for an domestic Airlines. The measurement variables are final education major, credits, TOEIC score, nationality of final education, nationality of aviation education, initial age of onset of flight, ground academic score, final simulator test score. The main results are as follows. First, the simulator test evaluation score of the pilot s flight training achievement was 3.27 points out of the maximum 5 points. 3.58 points for credit, 874.7 points for TOEIC score, and 89.8 points for academic score. Second, the simulator test score was positively related to the TOEIC score(r=0.189). The factors related to the simulator test score were ground academic score(β=0.290), followed by 30 years or more (β=0.225), TOEIC score(β=0.210), and the Department of Arts and Physical Education(β=0.192). The explanatory power of this model was 23.2%. Based on the findings, the pilots flight training scores we are found to be influential factors in the English ability and the ground academic evaluation rating, which would be useful for pilot selection criteria.
