This study aims to understand the nature of unemployment experiences in detail not by personal voluntary resign but by termination of entrustment to the private institutions in the social workers. Also, it is to assist the improvement of their treatment upon suggesting the implementation plans to enhance the treatment and position of the social workers who experience the involuntary unemployment. In depth interview was conducted in 10 social workers who experienced the involuntary unemployment working in Gyeonggi Province, and the data were analyzed by Giorgi’s phenomenological analysis. Upon the study results, involuntary unemployment experiences of the social workers showed to affect lowering their quality of life as well as clients’ and were closely related to the policy of their treatment improvement. In particular, this study tried to provide the effective implementation of social welfare and policy implications to enhance the quality of welfare services upon suggesting the treatment improvement plans by comparisons of improvement plans in the delegation system to private sector with the policy of treatment improvement.
