Views on ‘Good Class’ of University Students in Health Department

This study was performed to examine the view on the good class of the university students in health department and the results of analyzing 403 self-administered questionnaires collected from March 04, 2019 to March 25, 2019 are as follows. In the average score of good class by area, the area of educational contents was the highest with 4.02 points followed by environment with 4.01 points, perspective with 3.91 points, teaching method with 3.86 points and the evaluation with 3.83 points in order. In the view by gender on the good class according to general characteristics, the male students showed significantly higher scores (teaching method: 3.97 points; evaluation: 4.00 points) than the female students (teaching method: 3.83 points; evaluation: 3.76 points, and the students majoring nursing showed the significantly higher scores in for all elements of major. When the satisfaction with the classes was high, the satisfaction with major was high, and the higher the satisfaction with the classes and major, the higher the degree of clinical link. The explanatory power of the independent variable that explain the satisfaction with major, satisfaction with classes and the degree of clinical link was shows as 9.9%, 8.7% and 10.6%, respectively, and for the factor having influence on the satisfaction with major was environment (beta= .210), that on the satisfaction with classes was perspective (Beta= .185) and educational contents (Beta = .299), that on the degree of clinical link was perspective (Beta = .234), educational contents (Beta=-.349) and evaluation (Beta=.286).In conclusion, for the good class, the establishment of class strategy reflected the students demands is required and the teacher s effort to perform effective classes is needed by communicating actively with the students during the class and by applying diverse teaching method.
