(Purpose) This study aims to focus on the follow-up of the SSK program performance promoted by the National Research Foundation since 2010. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the performance factors of the SSK programs and to suggest ways to support it. (Design/methodology/approach) The research method utilized FGI, SURVEY analysis, etc. for follow-up and evaluation. The results of the social science support project subject to research are 2010 to 2019, and the performance survey for follow-up evaluation is from August 8 to September 7, 2019 for one month. (Findings) The analysis results are as follows. First, the interest level of the SSK program was 80.2%, the performance creation was 87.0%, and the necessity of the program was 95.4%. In addition, the evaluation criteria of the research program emphasized compatibility and productivity. Second, the efficiency of each growth stage is decreasing in middle and large projects. As the research task progresses to middle and large-sized tasks, the research scope, subject, and required results are intensifying, so it is necessary to improve the efficiency through adjustment of research works and research costs. Third, as a future support plan for the SSK program, it was found that many respondents hoped for a SSK follow-up program(post SSK or SSK+). Fourth, it was found that the performance of the SSK project was strengthened when policy utilization and research topics were linked. (Research implications or Originality) In the future, in order to improve the performance of research projects, it is necessary to establish a promotion system that can link performance with policy research teams at each stage.
