A Study on the Educational Model and Coping Strategies to the Chinese Students in Korea in the Situation of the Internationalization of High Education

The development of educational cause for foreign students has already become a common developmental strategy; every developed country is actively intensifying propaganda, recruiting foreign students, and occupying the educational markets for foreign students, which has made the educational market for foreign students become more and more competitive. A trend toward internationalization of higher education is an inevitable consequence within the context of globalization and knowledge based economy. International Students Education can be regarded as one of the important indicators for assessing internationalization of universities. Even though the education for foreign students in Korea started very late, these years it developed very fast. The quantity of foreign students increased quickly, especially Chinese students. The percentage of Chinese students among the total foreign student already exceeded 60%. When the education managers for universities recruit huge number of Chinese students to make up the shortage of Korea domestic undergraduates, they should also think over a good way to educate Chinese students because of the difference of culture and teaching between China and Korea. Identify problems in the actual teaching, and sum up a reasonable solution to better stabilize and consolidate the existing educational outcomes.
