The regional festivals of urban spaces based on production structure and the cultural identity of the city affect the formation and changes of life forms and character of the members of the space again. The effect of regional festival on urban space observed through Gangneung Danoje Festival can be divided into three parts. First of all, regional festival contributes through good governance structure formation and development of city centered on citizen participation from the urban political dimension and it is also used as the main place of urban politics. Secondly, from the production structure of cities, the festivals are used as the means of urban development and the value. The variety of regional identity and cultural factors the regional festivals have affect or make a contribution to the formation of urban spatial development vision and strategy. Thirdly, the culture and identity of the festival greatly affects the landscape architecture and urban residents of the city s artistic life of the structure formation. The cultural characteristics and identity of the regional festival are utilized as the scenic elements such as the spatial characteristics of a city image which represents the city, and others. Additionally, the cultural and artistic elements the festivals have help the citizens form or orient an artistic life through utilizing the festivals or through actually taking actions.
