This study focuses on the effects of female public officials’ ethics and professional job capabilities on job performance. Based on the results of factor analysis, this study defines job performance, which is a dependent variable as job performance of the civil services and job performance related to the management of administrative works. The sample of the study was 280 female public officials who work for primary local government in Gwangju metropolitan city. According to the results of analysis, female public officials’ ethics has considerably positive effect on job performance. The effects of individual variables such as the level of education or age on job performance were not significant. Among characteristics of professional job capabilities that affect job performance, management capabilities of policies and application capability of local networks have significant positive effects on female public officials’ job performance. Key factors of female managers’ job performance are learning capacity, understanding, and security capacity of budget. As female public officials’ capabilities within their departments and security capacity of budget increase, their job performance decrease. Regarding this result, the further study is needed in the future.
