The Factors Affecting Ideal Number of Children in Dual-Earner Married Women: with focused on the Mediating Effect

This study aims to provide fundamental data to improve childbirth intention of dual-earner married women. Survey was conducted on dual-earner married women of childbearing age located in Jeonllabukdo and 428 questionnaires were used for data analysis. Frequency analysis, T-test, Anova, correlation analysis, path analysis were used as analysis methods. Research result is as follows; First, The influence of independent variables on ideal number of children is examined. age and parent support have a direct and indirect influence on ideal number of children. And then employment type(regular) and couple s share of nurture have an indirect influence on ideal number of children. Second, the influence of parameters on ideal number of children is examined. Neighbors preference of multi-child birth has a indirect influence on ideal number of children. And then own values of children has a direct influence on ideal number of children. On the basis of above analysis result, it discussed helpful plan in improving childbirth intention of married working women has been attempted.
