In this study, the opinions of the teachers who were in charge of the school-based oral health clinic for continuous oral health care were investigated. The teachers 376 of the 208 school-based oral health clinics underwent surveys between September 1, 2014 and September 30, 2014. As a result of analyzing the frequency of the general characteristics of the teachers, and of their opinions on managing the school-based oral health clinic, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. The levels of the satisfaction on the school-based oral health clinic (84.1%), the necessity of treatment (90.2%), and the necessity of ongoing operation of the clinic (89.7%) were high. 2. In terms of the effects of the school-based oral health clinic, the students experienced enhancements in oral health (92%), prevention of oral diseases (64.9%), and oral health knowledge (19.2%). 3. For efficient operation of the clinic, continuous oral health care (30.2%) and oral health education (18.0%) were required. In addition to the school-based oral health clinic (60.4%), tooth brushing facilities (22.1%) were also required. Therefore, the school-based oral health clinic or tooth brushing facility is absolutely required, and professional human resources for oral health education and prevention must be secured at the state level.
