Trends and Policy Tasks on Regional Studies-Focused on Gyeongnam Studies-

This study aims at analyzing trends and providing policy directions to establish of Gyeongnam studies. Also, this study is to help founding of basic discussion to establish Gyeongnam studies. It is increasing rapidly to regional studies outcome since the 1990 that Local Self-Government is restored. And study interest for region is spread by various discipline without being limited in what specification discipline. So, joint research is increasing instead of that individual or a few researcher study is dwindling. Furthermore, motion to try scientific systematization of area studies is shining. This study was achieved for purpose wish to present directions of Gyeongnam studies by analyzing trends on Gyeongnam region studies in the face of Gyeongnam studies is diversified. Indeed, in circumstance that scientific discussion about Gyeongnam studies is not ripened, this paper has study to purpose that wish to provide foundation of basic discussion to establish Gyeongnam studies.
