The major purposes of this study are to explore strategies for activating city-rural interchange through the application of rural amenity resources as a means of local economic development and to find the ways to assist it. As Korean economy grows, many citizens are traveling to rural area in order to have rests and leisures. Rural amenities are providing exotic experiencies such as culture, history, natural beauty and traditional customs etc.. These rural amenities are very valuable assets for the rural people as well as urban citizens. The major factors identified in decision to visit local area and buy environment-friendly food include the demographic, product attribute, and marketing factors. Each of the three sets of factors is divided into more specific factors, which were used as independent variables in the statistical analysis. The questionnaires were made based on the suggested research model. The questionnaires were used to measure the levels of satisfaction of city-rural interchange, it s problems and improvements focused on environment friendly amenity. Results acquired from analysis indicate that the customer satisfaction is positively related to the factors as culture, management, education information, convenience. especially food, environmental preservation, tradition, unusual experience are influencing factors.
