This study has a purpose of investigating the determinant factors on social worker s job satisfaction working at social welfare organizations in Gangwon-do. This study has been developed a survey to be comprised of the questionnaire of 55 items which were generated from the basis of critical literature review. For this analysis, I conducted descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. According to a result of analyzing the data of 103 participants, the degree of their job satisfaction was 3.146 on 5 point. It s some low result in comparison with the results of earlier studies focusing on other regional cities. As a result of multiple regression analysis, a statistically significant difference among three independent variables was observed. Frist, in organizational characteristics variables, development opportunities(education, training etc.) and rewards(promotion, pay etc.) had a statistically significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Second, in job characteristics variables, job autonomy and job importance had a statistically significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Finally, in personal characteristics variables, gender, marriage and career had a statistically significant negative(-) effect on job satisfaction. In conclusion several implications and making continual follow-ups of this study run as follows : a causal analysis of regional variations on social worker s job satisfaction, a diversity of an incentive system and an advanced skills of management system on social workers.
