A Study on the Project about Korean Colleges and Universities Expanding Recruit of Foreign Students under the Situation of Education Internationalization- Focused on Chinese Students -

The development of educational cause for foreign students has already become a common developmental strategy; every developed country is actively intensifying propaganda, recruiting foreign students, and occupying the educational markets for foreign students, which has made the educational market for foreign students become more and more competitive. According to experts’ argumentation, Korean college students will gradually shrink from 2010 and serious surplus of education resources will happen in all the colleges and universities, because of Korean population birth rate declining and other reasons. On the other hand, senior officials of China s Ministry of Education said that gross enrollment rate of China s high school graduates will increase from the current 23% to 40% by 2020. This will undoubtedly provide new opportunities and challenges for Korean higher education. How to exert Korean advantage and open the market of Chinese students abroad already becomes a subject what many Korean higher education institutions and educators are thinking about.
