In an information and knowledge society the changes of administrative affairs and public service using with ICT have pursued to be a good government for e-democracy and high quality services. That is, South Korea tried to embodied e-government oriented customers as citizens and business with ICT. The effort for e-government was assessed the best country as 5th out of 191 counties with e-government readiness index by UN. In addition, e-government of South Korea was evaluated as a high ranking country at ADSL infrastructure, high speed network infrastructure, national e-administration, and so forth. Therefore, South Korea tries to delivery e-government service and to close local digital divide among the countries in Asia. This study is to compare with e-government policies and to suggest best practices in Asian countries. The study will give a desirable direction to lead balanced national development and a activated plans to expand SI enterprise for e-government in Asia.
