As it is forecast to account for 20.9% which is the percentage of the aged population needing long-term care with this trend, it is necessary to institutionalize long-term care insurance and produce manpower for obtaining symbol of role, professional pride, and discrimination against similar workers. For care managers, care helpers, social workers, nurses, medical specialists, medical technicians, dietitians, and cooks to ensure quality of service for clients and provide effectiveness, manpower must be approached as a team consisting of health, medical service and welfare. As a result of estimating manpower who is in charge of long-term care insurance for the aged population over 65 years old which will come into effect from the July of 2008, it is found that nursing home for the aged accounts for 2%, or 117,000 among 5,860,000 and care home for aged accounts for 18.9%, or 1107,000 among 5,860,000. Therefore it is urgent to develop care helpers by the specialized institute.
