Ecovillage education has the very big importance in the growth of the Eco-community movement. Because it allows people to experience their personal connection to the living ecological system and to realize the significance of Eco-community movement. From this viewpoint, this study aims to investigate the actual conditions of ecovillage education program in Korea, especially based on the case-study. Two cases which we observe in this study are regarded as important models of ecovillage education program. The results of the investigation show that Korea s ecovillage education program has problems and a lot of possibility at the same time. For example, while the demand for ecovillage education is increasing rapidly in korean society on the one hand, the partial commercialization of ecovillage education program is observed on the other hand. It is hard to conclude that these two cases are ideal for ecovillage education, but it is also clear that they are very suggestive in generalization and institutionalization of ecovillage education as alternative education. Conclusively, the success of ecovillage education is not possible by the effort of community itself. It is possible only when the more systematic and continuous support by our civil society and the government is offered.
