2011년 12월 17일 김정일 사망 이후 김정은이 북한의 최고지도자로 등극하면서 북한에는 새로운 구호, 담론 등이 대내외적으로 등장하기 시작했다. 김정은 시대에 생산된 구호는 강성국가 건설의 마지막 단계인 경제적인 성과를 이끌어내기 위한 대중 독려, 최고지도자인 김정은에 대한 충성을 유도하기 위한 목적이 가장 크다. 북한 당국의 이러한 의도는 김정은 시대의 국가발전전략에 반영되어 전일적으로 움직이고 있다. 그러나 북한 당국은 김정은 시대에 새롭게 선보인 ‘김일성-김정일주의’, ‘김정일애국주의’에 대한 구체적인 의미와 내용 설명을 명확하게 제시하지 않고 있다. 김일성-김정일 시대의 주체사상, 선군사상의 이론화 작업이 시간을 거쳐 이론화가 이루어졌듯이 김정은 시대에 제시된 새로운 정치사상인 ‘김일성 김정일주의’도 이론화되기까지 상당한 시간이 걸릴 것으로 보인다. 그러나 제4차 당대표자회의에서 ‘김일성-김정일주의’가 공식화되었고 실천담론으로서의 ‘김정일애국주의’를 북한이 강조하고 있는 만큼 본 논문에서는 김정은 시대에 새롭게 등장한 정치사상인 ‘김일성-김정일주의’와 김일성-김정일주의의 하위 담론인 ‘김정일 애국주의’의 내용을 구체적으로 고찰했다.
For the purpose of strengthening Kim Jong-un’s political power, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK, North Korea) regime is diversifying its methodology seeking for changes in political thoughts, composition of elite circle, structure of politics and economy, foreign and domestic policy as well as the intensity of control. Among these perceived modifications, this paper aims to highlight the ideological neologism of the Kim Jong-un regime through the examination of its contents and implications. The analysis of the political neologism indicates that there has been no sign of significant changes so far in North Korea.
