개인용 뷰티 디바이스 사용과 구매 실태

A Study on the Use and Purchase of Personal Beauty Devices: Based on the Estheticians of ‘Y’ Esthetic Company

Recently, interest in the use of personal beauty devices has been growing rapidly. This study is to apply personal beauty devices to the home care program of the esthetic salons. A survey was conducted on the use and purchase of beauty devices with 493 estheticians working at the Y esthetic company. The result is as follows.; In response to the use of personal beauty devices, 45.6% of respondents said ‘they used it’, and they used ‘galvanic devices’ the most. The primary goal of personal beauty devices was to ‘elasticity and anti-wrinkle’. In addition, 59.6% of respondents bought it after using personal beauty devices. The most purchased device was a vibration cleanser’. There was a discrepancy between usage and purchase experience. And the most frequent purchasing channel was ‘Internet’. Finally, the ‘effectiveness of skin care’ was highly investigated as a factor in purchasing personal beauty devices. 37.3% of respondents said they would like to purchase personal beauty devices in the future, and the most desired personal beauty device was ‘LED mask’. What is characteristic of this study is that the longer estheticians have worked, the more personal beauty devices they have purchased, but the satisfaction level after the purchase has decreased. Therefore, in order to utilize home care program of personal beauty devices within esthetic treatment, it is necessary to change the perception of using personal beauty devices by skilled estheticians. In addition, if the opinions of estheticians are reflected in the development of personal beauty devices, the beauty industry will grow further.
