Efficient CO2 to X Transformation with Metal Organic Framework Catalysts

금속-유기 골격 물질 촉매를 활용한 효율적인 이산화탄소 변환

The high concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere brings adverse effects on the global climate.Consequently, researchers are relentlessly pursuing the development of scalable and abundant catalystsfor CO2 reduction. Among the several strategies available currently, CO2 conversion via photochemical orelectrochemical processes is an incredibly exciting pathway because the required power can potentially besourced from the sun. Due to their tunable bandgap and excellent stability, an enormous number of metalorganic frameworks (MOFs) were extensively explored for CO2 reduction. This summary collects recentworks in the growth, engineering, and comprehension of CO2 conversion using MOF-based electrocatalystsand photocatalysts. Scrutiny on various catalysts, along with their general design ways for CO2 reduction ispresented. This review will afford insight into the up-to-date research progress in MOF-based materials forCO2 conversion.
