해군사관생도가 인식하는 태권도 교육의 가치 탐색

A study on the value of education relating to Taekwondo that Korea Naval Academy Cadets recognize

The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of naval cadets about Taekwondo education, and based on this, to present the direction that Taekwondo education should move forward. It was found that naval cadets recognized the positive values that can be obtained through martial arts education as ‘values for group solidarity’, ‘values for mental training’, and ‘values for physical training’ In addition, it was confirmed that there was a ‘negative perception’, such as the perception that physical training or mental training was not necessarily accomplished through martial arts education, and feeling regret about the urgent education process for acquiring Dan-certificate because of the result-oriented martial arts education. Through this study, we hope that the martial arts education that places importance on the process rather than the result-oriented education will be progressed in the direction to obtain positive and practical educational outcomes for the cadets.
