Some issues in electronic notarization

Notary Act in 2009 accepted the electronic notary system and the amendment has been in full effect since Aug. 7, 2010, however, the electronic notary has not been popular in practice. This article deals with the current status of electronic notary. Notary under the electronic system is not entirely carried out in virtual space. As a regard, first, possibility of partial waiver to require applicant’s presence before a notary public in electronic notary and second, solution to adopt electronic notary to other area such as granting fixed date(officially-stamped date) will be discussed.
