『개역개정』의 신약성경에 등장하는 13 “없음” 구절들에 대한 소고

13 “None”-Verses in the NT of NKRW

본 논문은 한국 주요 교단에서 사용되는 신약성경(예. 『개역개정』)에 등장하는13개의 “없음” 구절들(마 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; 막 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; 눅 17:36; 23:17; 행 8:37; 15:34; 28:29; 롬 16:24)에 대한 주제를 다룬다. 신약성경의 “없음” 구절들은 신약성경 원문 복원학의 발전 및 새로운 필사본들의 발견으로 인해 이전에신약성경 판본에서는 원문으로 간주되었으나 이제는 후대의 삽입으로 판명되어각주나 난외란으로 옮겨진 구절들이다. 따라서 최근의 헬라어 신약성경 판본을 사용하여 번역한 성경들의 경우 이 13구절을 담고 있지 않다. 반면, 보다 오래된 성경들(예. King James Version)의 경우 당시 사용된 헬라어 신약성경 판본의 상태로 이구절들을 담고 있다. 즉, 신약성경의 “없음” 구절들에 대한 논의는 순수하게 원문복원학적 논의에 속한다. 그러나 최근 킹제임스성경 유일주의 등을 주장하는 일단의 무리가 “없음”을 표시해 놓은 『개역개정』이나 표시를 생략한 여타의 국역 성경들(예. 『표준개정』, 『공동개정』)이 사탄에 의해 변경된 것이라는 거짓된 주장으로학계와 교회를 혼란스럽게 하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 본 논문은 신약성경에 나타나는 “없음” 구절들에 대한 원문복원학적 논의를 시도한다. 그리고 그 결과 “없음” 구절로 이동된 내용들은 Textus Receptus가 편집될 당시 발생한 오류나 제한으로 원문으로 판단되었으나 이후 후대의 첨가된 부분으로 판명되어 현대의 헬라어 성경들(예 NA, UBS, BYZ 등)에는 원문이나 유력한 이문으로 여겨지지 않는 것을 드러냈다. 이로써 『개역개정』의 “없음” 구절들은 오류나 변개의 흔적이 아닌 신약성경본문 보존의 “흔적”이라는 점도 드러났다.

This article deals with the thirteen “none”-verses(Matt 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luk 17:36; 23:17; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 28:29; Rom. 16:24) in the NT(eg. NKRV) being used in major Korean denominations. These “none”-verses were previously regarded as original readings in the older edition(s) of Greek NT, but are now found to be later scribal insertions, and are transferred to footnotes or marginalities due to the development of the textual criticism and some discovery of new manuscripts. Therefore, these thirteen verses are not included in recent translations using the latest Greek NT edition(s). On the other hand, older translations(eg. KJV) contain these verses because they used their contemporary Greek NT edition(s). Thus, it should be mentioned that the discussion of these “none”-verses simply belongs to a theme of the textual criticism. However, recently, a group following the “King James Onlyism” and others insist that NKRV, which marked “none” verses, and other translations(eg. NKSV and CRT), which omitted them, are altered by Satan, and in the basis of such false claims they make students and churches confused. In this situation, this article discussed on textual critical features of the “none”-verses. In sum, those passages that are marked as “none”-verses had been considered the original reading in TR due to errors or limitations of sources, but later turned out to be scribal additions, not the original readings, and so the modern Greek editions(eg. NA, UBS, BYZ, etc.) no longer contain them in the reading texts. From this, it was also revealed that the “none”-verses in NKRV were not been some satanic alternations, but “traces” of the protection of the text of NT.
