Study on Developing a Reading Education Model through Blended Learning

이 연구는 언텍트 시대,독서를 활성화할 수 있는 방안으로 블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 독서 교육 모형을 설계하여 그 가능성을 타진해 보았다.구체적으로 북매치 전략을 활용하여 읽을 텍스트를 선정한 후,‘1단계:실시간 온라인+비대면 녹화 강의→ 2단계:실시간 온라인→3단계:비대면 녹화 강의’로 구성된 블렌디드 형식으로 진행하였다.이는 독서 대상자들의 취향과 선호도를 고려하여 시공간의 제약을 최소화하기 위해 모색한 방법이다.동시에 언택트 시대의 흐름과 상황에 대처할 수 있는 독서교육 방안을 모색한 것이기도 하다. 먼저 1단계는 ‘텍스트의 이해’단계로,텍스트에 흥미를 갖고,텍스트의 내용을 정확하게 이해하는 데 초점을 두고 진행하였다.이 단계에서는 텍스트와 관련된 영화, 드라마,광고,웹툰 등의 타 장르의 텍스트를 보면서 읽게 될 텍스트의 내용을 예측해본 후,텍스트를 읽으면서 ‘위키피디아’를 활용하여 내용을 정리하는 방식으로 진행하였다.2단계는 ‘사유의 확장’ 단계로,정리한 내용을 공유하고,담화활동을 통해 사유를 확장해 간다.3단계는 ‘사유의 표현’ 단계로,1단계와 2단계를 거쳐 오면서 텍스트를 이해하고,다양한 사유를 경험한 것을 자기화 하여 창의적으로 정리하는 단계이다.이때,창의적 표현 방식으로 ‘북트레일러’를 활용하였다.이러한 과정을 통해 본연구에서 제안한 독서 교육 모형이 독서 매체의 변화와 독자의 요구 및 필요에 부합할 수 있고,독서 활동을 촉진하는 데 유용한 대안이 될 수 있다는 가능성을 보았다.

This study aims to design an education model to facilitate reading in an untact era using the blended learning approach. Specifically, after selecting the reading text using the BOOKMATCH strategy, a blended format was applied. This format consists of three steps: Step 1: Real-time online learning + non-face-to-face recorded lecture; Step 2: Real-time online learning; Step 3: Non-face-to-face recorded lecture. This method aimed to minimize the constraints of time and space considering the preferences of learners, while formulating an education plan to help learners develop reading skills in the current untact era. Step 1 helps learners to form an “understanding of the text,” focusing on developing an interest in it and accurately understanding its content by watching related texts of other genres such as movies, dramas, advertisements, and webtoons. Next, the contents are organized using “Wikipedia” while reading the text. Step 2 entails “expanding thoughts,” wherein we share information about the completed text using Wikipedia and expand learners’ thoughts through discourse. Finally, Step 3 is the “expression of thoughts,” which helps learners understand texts as they cross Steps 1 and 2. This step facilitates creative organization of diverse thoughts by internalizing them. At this time, “book trailer” is used as a method of creative expression. Through this process, we observed that the reading education model proposed in this study can adapt to the changes in reading media, satisfy the requirements of readers, and be a useful alternative to promote reading activities.
