고조선과 고구려의 계승 관계 탐색

Exploring the Relations between Old Choson and Goguryeo; Focusing on Review of Wanfabazi site in Tonghua, Jilin

본고에서는 통화 만발발자유적을 중심으로 통화지역의 역사지리적 환경과 고고학적 배경을일별하고 고조선과 고구려의 계승 관계를 살피는 토대를 마련해 보고자 했다. 이 과정에서고조선과 고구려를 직접 연결시켜 서술한 문헌 기록을 함께 살펴보았다. 통화지역은 고조선과 고구려의 계승관계를 살피는 데 좋다. 고조선사의 입장에서는 핵심지역에서 떨어져 있지만 고구려사의 입장에서는 혼강으로 이어지는 거점지역에 해당되어 고구려 건국의 바탕이 됐다. 이러한 지정학적 위치에 만발발자유적이 있으며 3기와 4기 문화층은고조선과 선고구려 문화 요소가 혼재돼 있다. 유적의 5기 문화층은 고구려 문화 일색이다. 이에 본문에서는 문헌자료와의 비교 검토를 통해 3기와 4기 문화층을 기반으로 한 주민이5기 문화층을 형성한 것으로 추정했다. 즉 고조선을 중심으로 광역에 걸쳐 연결된 고조선(혹은예맥) 연맹체가 연ㆍ진ㆍ한과의 각축에서 점차 세력을 잃어가는 과정에서 고조선의 외곽에 있던 지역집단이 정치적 격변기에 독자적 세력을 형성, 최종적으로 광역의 교역망은 고구려를중심으로 재편되었을 것으로 추정했다.

This paper examines the historical and geographic circumstances and archaeological background of the Tonghua 通化 region, focusing on the Wanfabazi 萬發拔子 site in Tonghua, Jilin Province, so that build the groundwork for the relationships between Old Choson and Goguryeo. In this process, I looked at the historical records like the Hou Han Shu 後漢書 that directly linked Old Choson and Goguryeo. Tonghua region is a good place to look at the succession of Old Choson and Goguryeo. Although it is far from the core area of Old Choson, it is the base of Goguryeo s foundation as it is a stronghold that leads to the Hun 渾 River. Wanfabazi site is in this geopolitical location. Some bronze products and pottery of Old Choson are in the Third and Forth cultural layers. A few tombs in the Forth cultural layer are in Goguryeo style. In particular, the Third and Forth cultural layers are characterized by exotic artifacts from both tombs and dwellings. And the Fifth cultural layer is composed of artifacts of Goguryeo. I suggest that the people based on the third and fourth cultural layers formed the fifth cultural layer, which is one of the cultures of Goguryeo, through comparative examination with historical records. As the alliance of Old Choson (or of Yemaek) connected over a wide area with the center of Old Choson gradually loses its power and perishes in competition with Yeon, Qin, and Han. And local groups in the periphery of Old Choson formed their own power during political upheaval. Finally, it was estimated that the trade network in the region would have been reorganized centering on Goguryeo.
