교육학에서의 문화역사적 활동이론에 관한 국내 문헌 분석

Literature Review of Cultural Historical Activity Theory in Educational Research

본 연구에서는 지난 20여 년간 국내 교육학 분야에서 수행된 총 57편의 활동이론 관련 연구를 분석하였고, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 활동이론 관련 연구는 2000년대 이후로 점차 증가하였다. 둘째, 활동이론은 교육학의 전 영역에 걸쳐 폭넓게 연구되었다. 셋째, 연구방법과 관련해서는 질적 연구가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 질적 연구에 대하여 연구대상과 연구주제를 살핀 결과, 형식적인 수업활동과 수업인접활동을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았으며 일터, 지역사회 등에서의 무형식적 학습 활동에 관한 연구는 상대적으로 적었다. 또한, 연구주제를 살펴보기 위해 분석의 수준을 살펴본 결과 단일 활동체계 내의 요소를 규명하는 연구에 비하여 복수 활동체계들의 관계 속에서 나타나는 구조적 모순과 확장학습 현상을 살펴본 연구들이 압도적으로 많았다. 문헌 연구의 연구 목적을 분석한 결과, 분석틀로서의 가능성을 논의하는 연구의 비중이 가장 높았다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 향후 활동이론 연구의 방향을 제언하였다.

This study aims to examine research trends in activity theory(AT) studies conducted in the field of education in Korea over the past two decades. A total of 57 papers were selected and analyzed by year of publication, research field, and method. Additional analysis on 38 qualitative studies was conducted for sub-methods, research subjects, and how AT is employed. Also, 17 studies of the literature review were categorized. The research presented, first, AT-related research, has been on a growing trend since the 2000s. Second, AT is widely interested in education, including HRD and life-long education, subject education, and other education. Third, qualitative research was the most commonly observed in terms of research methods. Fourth, most studies were conducted on formal and class-related activities, and relatively few were conducted on adult learning activities such as lifelong education and HRD. This research examines that more studies focused on structural contradictions and expansive learning phenomena than studies based on second-generation models identifying elements within a single activity system in terms of analysis level and method. As a result of research purpose analysis, the proportion of studies discussing AT as an analytical framework was the highest. Based on the above findings, we propose the direction of future studies of AT.
