The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of emotional labor on burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention in early childhood teachers. The subjects of this study were 342 teachers in charge of three- to five-year-old children at child care centers and kindergartens in Cheongju city. Data were analyzed by path analysis using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. The results of this study were as follows: First, teachers deep emotional labor had direct effects on emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment whereas overt emotional labor had direct effects on depersonalization and personal accomplishment but had no impact on emotional exhaustion. Second, teachers emotional exhaustion directly effected on job satisfaction and turnover intention while depersonalization and personal accomplishment directly effected only job satisfaction alone but had no impact on turnover intention. Third, job satisfaction had a direct effect on turnover intention. Fourth, emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment of teachers had an indirect effect on turnover intention mediated by job satisfaction.
