질적 연구 경험에 대한 협력적 성찰이 가진 방법론적 의미 탐구

An Inquiry for Methodological Meaning on Cooperative Reflection of Qualitative Research Experience

목적 이 연구는 연구자의 질적 연구 ‘경험’에 대해 동료 연구자들과 함께 협력적 ‘성찰’을 하여 그 의미를 찾는 것이 목적이다. 방법 한 연구자가 질적 연구를 처음 수행했던 경험을 토대로 자기 성찰과 협력적 성찰을 실천했다. 이를 위해 연구자의 주관성을 드러내는 데에 가장 적합한 글쓰기 방법인 자문화기술지를 연구방법으로 채택했고, ‘연구자의 질적 연구 경험은 어떠하며, 그 경험에 대한 성찰은 어떤 의미가 있는가?’라는 연구문제를 설정했다. 결과 첫째, 질적 연구는 연구자의 자신의 삶에 대한 성찰로부터 시작하며 해체하고 재구성하는 과정을 통해 연구 주제와 대상이 발현한다. 둘째, 질적 연구는 연구 방향의 엄밀하고 타당한 검토를 위해서는 문헌, 현장조사 등 사전 연구가 필요함을 인식하였다. 셋째, 질적 연구의 타당도와 신실성을 확보하는 동료 검증은 협력과 학습을 위한 과정임을 이해하였다. 결론 질적 연구 경험을 성찰하는 것은 ‘연구자로서 나’와 ‘개체로서 나’에게 모두 의미 있는 전환 학습 차원의 교육적 경험이었다.

Objectives This study purports to find the meaning through collaborative reflections on ‘experience’ of a qualitative researcher. Methods In response, a researcher practiced self-reflection and collaborative reflection based on a researcher’s first experience in conducting qualitative research. Auto-ethnography, which is the best way to reveal the subjectivity of researchers, was adopted as a research methodology. The research questions are the following: 1) how did a researcher experience the qualitative research?, and 2) what is the meaning of reflection on the experience? Results The findings of this study are as follows: First, qualitative research begins with a reflection of the researcher s own life, and the subject and object of the study are expressed through the process of deconstructing and reconstructing. Second, qualitative research recognized that prior research, such as literature and field investigation, was necessary for a rigorous and reasonable review of the research direction. Third, for the validity and trustworthiness of qualitative research, peer debriefing was understood to be a process of collaboration and learning. Conclusions Reflecting on the qualitative research experience was a meaningful educational experience for both ‘as a researcher’ and ‘as an object’.
