국립공원 3곳(내장산국립공원, 오대산국립공원, 주왕산국립공원)의 말벌과의 종다양성과 피해 예방

The Species Diversity of Vespidae and Damage Prevention in Three National Parks (Naejangsan, Odaesan and Juwangsan National Park)

2013년 8-10월까지 3곳의 국립공원(내장산국립공원, 오대산국립공원, 주왕산국립공원) 내 말벌과의 종다양성을 조사한 결과 내장산국립공원은 총 2아과 5속 14종 784개체가 채집되었으며, 오대산국립공원은 총 2아과 5속 15종 169개체, 주왕산국립공원은 2아과 5속 14종 116개체가 채집되었다. 따라서 기존 문헌상의 기록과 본 결과를 통합한 결과 내장산국립공원은 총 2아과 5속 17종으로 나타났고, 오대산국립공원은 총 2아과 5속 20종, 주왕산국립공원은 총 2아과 5속 15종으로 나타났다. 각 국립공원에서 말벌의 출현 빈도가 높은 지역은 내장산국립공원의 경우 서래봉~불출봉 구간 중 3번, 6번 지역, 그리고 신선봉~까치봉 구간의 13-16번, 19번 지역이었고, 오대산국립공원은 월정사~상원사 구간의 5번 지역, 월정사 일주문과 월정사 내부, 그리고 소금강 지역의 1~3번 지역 이었다. 주왕산국립공원의 경우 대전사~용추폭포 구간에서 3번~7번, 10번, 그리고 주산지 지역의 3번 지역이 높게 나타났다. 이 지역들은 주로 탐방객들의 휴식 공간으로 향수냄새나 음식냄새에 말벌이 유인될 수 있어 각별한 주의가 요구된다. 국립공원에서 말벌의 피해를 예방하기 가장 좋은 방법은 초봄에 탐방로나 휴식공간을 중심으로 여왕벌을 채집하여 벌집의 생성 자체를 막는 것이다. 또한 말벌 상습출현 구간 및 인근 탐방안내소에 응급의약품을 비치하여 응급 시 빠른 조치를 할 수 있게 해야 된다.

We studied the species diversity of Vespidae from August to October 2013 in three National Parks as follows: Naejangsan National Park (NNP), Odaesan National Park (ONP), and Juwangsan National Park (JNP). 784 individuals from 14 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies were collected in NNP, followed by 169 individuals from 15 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in ONP and 116 individuals from 14 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in JNP. These results and the literature integrated into 17 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in NNP, 20 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in ONP and 15 species of 5 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in JNP. The high frequency of Vespidae was recorded in areas 3 and 6 of Seorae Bong to Bulchul Bong and area 13 to 16 and 19 of Sinseon Bong to Kkachi Bong in NNP. In ONP, it was area 5 of Woljeong Temp. to Sangwon Temp., Iljumun and inside of Woljeong Temp. and area 1 to 3 of Segeumgang Valley. In JNP, area 3 to 7 and 10 of Daejeon Temp. to Yongchu Falls and area 3 of Jusanji Pond. Most of these places provide a comfort stop to rest and eat and visitors should be cautions because wasps are generally attracted to sweet smelling foods or perfumes. The best method for prevention of damage by wasps in National Parks is capturing the queens before they build nests around mountain trails and rest areas during the early spring period. Emergency medicine should be placed in the areas with high frequency of wasps and travel information centers because wasp stings needs immediate medical attention.
