본 연구는 점차 사라져가는 육상조류와 그들의 서식지 보호 방안 마련을 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 육상조류는 물새류에 비해 연구하기 어려워 아직까지 연구 자료가 부족한 실정이다. 육상조류 보호를 위해서는 연구의 체계화 방안, 육상조류 생태계 서비스 홍보를 위한 대국민 인식증진, 조류 유리창(건물) 충돌 방지 방안, 새그물의 제작, 판매 및 유통제한, 농경지 및 초지 조류서식지 보호방안 등의 구체적인 정책 방안 마련이 필요하다.
This study was conducted to make a conservation action plans for declining landbirds and their habitats. A few studies have been done in landbirds comparing to waterbirds in South Korea because they are cryptic. We suggested several plans to protect landbirds. Well-organized working plans, raising public awareness of ecosystem service, action plans to prevent window-strike, restriction of selling a bird net and preserving arable land and grassland as a habitat of landbirds are urgently required.
