허베이 스피리트호 유류 유출 사고 이후 태안 연안에서의 정기성 플랑크톤 군집의 장기 변동

Long-term Variation of Meroplankton Community on Taean Coast after the Hebei Spirit Oil Spill

본 연구는 허베이 스피리트호 유류 유출 사고 후 동물플랑크톤의 군집변화를 모니터링 하기 위한 일환으로 2008년 1월부터 2018년 10월까지 15개의 정점에서 계절별로 조사된 자료를 바탕으로 정기성 플랑크톤의 군집특성과 유류 오염에 대한 영향을 평가하기 위해 이루어졌다. 정기성 플랑크톤이 동물플랑크톤에서 차지하는 비율은 동계에 0.2%로 낮고 추계에 1.63%로 높았으나, 야광충을 제외할 경우, 동계에 0.81%, 하계에 12.49%로 다소 높아졌다. 정기성 플랑크톤의 현존량은 하계와 추계에 더 높고 동계와 춘계에는 더 낮았으며, 특히 하계의 현존량은 동계와 추계에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 개체수 밀도 기준으로 가장 우점적으로 출현한 종류는 십각류 유생(32.2%)이었고, 그 다음으로는 극피동물 유생(22.5%), 만각류 유생(20.4%), 다모류 유생(13.8%), 이매패 유생과 복족류 유생(각각 5.5%) 순이었다. 현존량의 계절별 연변동의 관점에서 보면 본 조사해역에서의 유류 오염이 정기성 플랑크톤에 미친 영향은 사고 후 적어도 4년까지 지속된 것으로 판단된다.

This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of meroplankton community and its oil impacts as part of a study to monitor the change in zooplankton community after the Hebei Sprit oil spill. We collected plankton samples seasonally from 15 stations off the coast of Taean from January 2008 to October 2018. The meroplankton of total zooplankton accounted for the lowest (0.2%) in winter and the highest (1.63%) in autumn. However, excluding Noctiluca scintillans from zooplankton, the ratio of meroplankton became slightly higher at 0.81% in winter and 12.49% in summer. The abundance of meroplankton was higher in summer-autumn and lower in winter-spring, especially, that in summer being significantly higher than in winter or autumn. The most predominant larvae were crustaceans (32.2%), followed by echinoderm (22.5%), barnacles (20.4%), polychaetes (13.8%), bivalves and gastropods (5.5% respectively). From the inter-annual fluctuations of abundance in each season, the impact of oil pollution on meroplankton in the present study lasted for at least four years after the oil spill.
