예비유아교사의 다문화 감수성 함양을 위한 예술교육의 방향 탐색

The Directions on Art Education for the Cultivation of Multicultural Sensitivity of Preservice Teachers

우리나라는 다문화 사회로 빠른 변화를 겪고 있으며 우리 사회 전반에서 다문화, 다인종을 만나는 것이 흔해졌을 뿐만 아니라 우리의 생각이나 삶의 방식에도 영향을 미치는 다문화 상황에 놓여있다. 유아교육 현장에서 교사는 다문화 가정 자녀에 대한 교육 실행의 어려움에 직면하고 있으며 유아교사양성기관은 예비유아교사를 대상으로 보다 교육 실천력이 높은 다문화교육을 실시할 필요성이 긴급해졌다. 이에 본 연구는 유아교사로서 함양해야 할 역량으로서 다문화 감수성을 선정하였으며 기존의 전공 교과목과의 통합을 통해 그 교육적 효과를 높이는 방안을 제시하였다. 다문화 감수성 함양을 위한 다문화 통합교육 프로그램 구성의 가능성을 예술교육에서 탐색하였다. 본 연구는 다문화 감수성 함양을 위한 예술교육의 방향으로 예술교육과 다문화 감수성 교육의 목표 간 적절한 균형 달성, 예술교육과 다문화 감수성 통합을 위한 교육내용의 선정 및 조직화, 예술적 상상력지향의 예술교육 방법 모색, 다중감각을 활용하는 교육 프로그램의 구성, 협력과 의사소통의 강화 등 이상 5개 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 예비유아교사의 다문화 역량 함양을 위한 구체적인 교육 실행 방향을 제시함으로써 다문화 통합 교육 프로그램 구성을 위한 기초연구로서의 가치가 있다.

Our country is undergoing a rapid change to a multicultural society. It has become common to meet multicultural and multi-ethnic people across our society, and it is in a multicultural situation that also affects our thoughts and ways of life. At the site of early childhood education, teachers are facing difficulties in implementing education for children from multicultural families, and early childhood teacher training institutions need to provide more practical multicultural education for preservice teachers. Therefore, this study selected multicultural sensitivity as a competence to foster as an early childhood teacher and suggested ways to enhance educational effectiveness through integration with existing major subjects. Art education explored the possibility of organizing a multicultural integrated education program to foster multicultural sensitivity. This study presented five directions: achieving an appropriate balance between artistic education and multicultural sensitivity education goals, selecting and organizing educational content for integrating artistic and multicultural sensitivity, creating multiple-sense education programs, and strengthening cooperation and communication.
