A Study on the Present Condition of Specialty stores for Organic foods

This study is a exploratory study for finding out cognition and preference distribution channel of customers as well-being trend which pursues safety of farm products and health and after studying present state of organic food specialty selling area and customer behavior about organic food by literature research, this study searches successful strategy of organic food specialty selling area in abroad to grope about developmental scheme of domestic organic food specialty selling area. As a result, ‘Olga’ which is a domestic representative organic food specialty selling area had similar management type with American whole food market and ‘Chorokmaeul’ had similar management type with American Trader joe. Also, retail distribution of domestic organic food specialty selling areas was being run by offline direct management stores and participation stores using multi distribution strategy by entering in department store, home shopping, internet shopping as type of shop in shop.
