The Development of Standard Platform for RFID-Based Logistics Information Sharing
- 0
Purpose - The biggest problem with contemporary distribution market is that some malicious market players circulate fake or falsified commodity into the supply chain, which in turn leads to serious damage to market environment and consumers’ safety. Especially in the food, drug and automotive industry directly associated with public health, an immediate countermeasure need to be taken as the occurrence of fake commodity and disinformation keeps increasing with the diversification of labor and distribution channel. Research design, data, methodology - The remote management of RFID field application based on SSI (Software System Infrastructure) in real time facilitates a prompt response to system failure, and furthermore, makes legitimate product information available among all supply chain participants of concern. As a result of validating the performance, the platform is highly feasible to discover malicious distribution activities and to allow a better management over supply chain by way of a seamless information exchange among market players. Results - This paper mainly deals with the development of RFID-based standard information sharing platform, which enhances distribution transparency and consumers’ safety and, at the same time, bolsters soundness of market by rooting out anti-counterfeit products and disinformation within a supply chain. Conclusions - The common standard platform allows reciprocal distribution data exchange among the supply chain entities, which in return presents the capabilities to discern and further respond to the fake commodity and circulation of disinformation.
