Regional Aspects of Socio-Economic Modernization of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The article examines the socio-economic modernization of Kazakhstan in the post-crisis period the value of which has significantly increased with the transition of the country from raw material export economy to an innovative way of development. The authors point out that the current regional policy of Kazakhstan should be directed at the concentration of economic activity in the regional centers that implement economic and social modernization, and therefore all the long-term development strategies and plans aimed at modernizing the country should be based on the existing potential of regions of the country.
