Mergers and Acquisitions by Emerging Country Multinational Companies

This paper investigates the mergers and acquisitions by the emerging country multinational companies. We examine whether or not emerging country multinationals earn positive abnormal returns as a result of merger and acquisitions. This paper examines the emerging country multinational companies'merger and acquisition decisions. We examine whether or not abnormal returns are created after the acquisitions by the emerging market multinational companies. The paper is organized as follows: Section I shows the previous studies, Section II presents the data and the methodology and finally Section III displays the results.
