This is a case study, an analytical approach, which focuses on exploring and analyzing contemporary leadership styles in public sector to identify the most applicable and popular leadership style. Contemporary leadership examples show transactional leadership as the most applicable leadership style in the public sector, and many seem to like this leadership style and support transactional leaders. Transactional leadership style has been characterized as a business or a managerial leadership, and it has not been as prevalent or popular leadership style as transformational or servant leadership styles. However, many leaders in both the public and private sectors exhibit transactional leadership style today, and this leadership style could well be the most prevalent and popular leadership style in the near future.
