고속철도 역세권 개발과 그 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Effects of Development of the High Speed Railway Station Zone

&nbsp;&nbsp;새로운 고속철도의 역사(驛舍)는 단순한 교통결절점이 아니라 도시적 맥락속의 다양한 역할을 요구하며 다기능의 복합화가 이루어질 때 그 도시에 새로운 활력을 불러일으키게 된다. 따라서 고속철도로 인한 역세권 개발은 인근 지역주민의 삶의 질(quality of life) 향상은 물론 도시내부의 새로운 성장거점 개발 또는 도시의 활성화 거점개발의 기회로 간주될 수 있다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;본 논문은 고속철도의 일상화와 함께 도래된 역을 중심으로 한 ‘삶의 질’ 향상이라는 측면에 초점을 맞춰 역세권 개발이 미치는 다양한 파급효과에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 삼았다. 이를 위해 ‘역세권’이라는 개념을 토대로 정의, 특징, 기능 및 역할을 다루었으며, 나아가서 일본과 프랑스의 선진사례에 대한 연구를 통해 우리나라의 역세권 개발에 일정한 교훈을 제시하고자 하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The newly established high speed railway station may function not only just as a traffic convergence but also as an energizing force with multiple roles in the context of municipal environment. As a result, the development of high speed railway station zone will be considered as great opportunities as well to enhance quality of life of the neighboring inhabitants, as to develop new footholds for the inner-municipal growth and mobilization.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The main purpose of this article is to depict the effects of development of the high speed railway station zone on the multiple aspects of municipal lifes and functions, especially focusing on &quot;quality of life&quot;. To attain this purpose, the definition of high speed railway station zone, its characteristics, and its roles will be handled with the case of advanced countries such as Japan and France. And some lessons will be proposed based on them.
