Organizational Cultures and Motivation in Software Engineering

This study examines the relationship between organizational culture and the motivation of software engineers. We use psychological contract as a major theory and investigate how organizational culture influence the turnover intention of software engineers by using a mediator of affective organizational commitment. The results show that result-oriented, open oriented and employee oriented culture increase their affective organizational commitment affecting turnover intention negatively in turn.
