A Study on the Strategy of Activation of Korean Third Party Logistics Enterprise

These days, enterprises shall concentrate their abilities on important areas to develop them and to save costs and to improve service quality for customers. Enterprises shall concentrate their abilities on important areas tosave cost by relying upon outsourcing to do remaining areas and to be interested in outsourcing of distribution area. This is because distribution cost of Korean enterprises is much more expensive than that of advanced countries is. Such an expensive distribution cost may worsen price competitiveness of export products and create trade deficit to increase commodity price internally and to give great burden to Korean economy: So, distribution cost saving is urgentlyneeded to strengthen national competitiveness. The outsourcing that is third party logistics enterprise can solve the problem. Distribution businesses make appearance to let manyenterprises make change from their own logistics to third party logistics enterprise. But,consignor enterprises do not consign integrated distribution service to third party logisticsenterprises in Korea. This study investigatedstate and problems of third party logistics enterprise in Korea to suggest development plan.
