This paper attempted to examine the meaning of Buddhist Meditation and Well-being from a psychoanalytic perspective. Among the various psychoanalytic theories, Lacanian psychoanalytic theory of subject would help to better understand the possibilities of Buddhist Meditation and its contribution to the human well-being. In order to explore the subject of Buddhist meditation and well-being, this study attempted to compare the Buddhist concept of self with Lacanian subject, and reconsidered the function of meditation as self-reflexivity. Buddhist meditation would help us to overcome the false dichotomy of subject and object and to better understand the connection between the individual and the social in reconsidering the real meaning of well-being.
