Many organizations use general health safety guidelines, national or industry standard standards, none of which have been proven to be globally conformable. It was a global need to align safety and health management systems with international standards and best practices. This standard is likely to be applicable to both developed and developing countries at regional, national and global levels. If appropriate standards and training are provided along with international standards that can be referenced, the organization will be able to address safety and health risks for a better future.
