본 논문은 제강산업의 구매실무에 대한 연구로서 동국제강 사례를 토대로 작성되었다. 후판과 봉형광을 생산하는 원재료인 철스크랩과 슬라브을 주로 구매하는 동국제강의 구매조직과 구매 프로세스에 대하여 연구하였고 특히 구매윤리, E-Procurment, 녹색구매 등 오늘날 구매에서 이슈가 되고 있는 점들을 기업에서는 실제로 어떻게 대처하고 있는지를 동국제강의 사례를 통해 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 동국제강 사례를 통해 제강산업의 구매에 있어서 문제점을 도출하고 개선방안을 제시하였다.
This paper intended to understand the purchasing practices in the steel industry from a case study of Dongkuk Steel. Dongkuk Steel purchased two major materials, which are steel scrap and slab. Most of the steel scrap is domestically supplied and used to produce the rebar and section steel products. The slab is imported from foreign countries like Japan. This study explored the different characteristics of purchasing organization and process for steel scrap and slab. In addition, this paper examined e-procurement, procurement ethics, and green purchasing which are the emerging issues in the steel industry. Based on the case study, we extract the problems in purchasing practices and suggested recommendations for improvement.
