도덕적 상상력에 기초한 도덕과 통일교육 내용 적용 연구

A Study on Unification Education based on Moral Imagination

본 연구는 도덕과 통일교육에 있어서 도덕적 상상력이 어떤 역할을 하는가에 대해서 논의하고, 이 논의를 바탕으로 통일교육에 있어서 도덕적 상상력을 활용한 수업의 실제를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 도덕과 통일교육이 인지적 접근과 효용 및 공리에 기초한 접근을 벗어나 공적인 삶에 대한 관심을 촉구하는, 상상력에 기초한 접근을 시도할 필요가 있음을 제언하고자 한다. 이와 같은 시도가 필요한 이유 중의 하나는 학생들의 실존적 삶에서 통일 및 통일의 필요성에 관한 관심이 점차 줄어들고 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 도덕과 통일교육은 우선적으로 통일이라는 화두를 학생들의 삶의 의미의 영역으로 제시할 필요가 있으며, 공적인 삶에의 참여에 관심을 기울이게 하는 우회적이고 간접적인 방식을 취할 필요가 있다. 이와 같은 방식의 접근을 위해서 본 연구는 다음과 같은 두 가지 방향을 제언하고자 한다. 하나는 상상력을 통해 타인과 공동체의 삶을 재구성하는 경험을 쌓는 것이고, 다른 하나는 문학 읽기를 통해서 상상력을 확장하는 것에 중점을 둔 통일교육을 시도하는 것이다.

This study discusses the role of moral imagination in unification education, and based on this, it attempts to present the actuality of the lessons using moral imagination in unification education. Through this, this study suggests that in unification education, it is necessary to try an approach based on imagination that calls for attention to public life, rather than a cognitive approach and the approach based on utility and benefit. One of the reasons for such an attempt is that students’ interest in both unification and the necessity of unification in their daily lives is gradually decreasing. Therefore, in moral education, the unification class needs to first suggest what the issue of unification means to students’ lives, and it also needs to take an indirect approach to encourage students to participate in public life. For this approach, this study proposes the following two directions. One is to acquire the experience of reconstructing the life of the community with others through imagination; the other is to devise a plan for unification education that focuses on expanding imagination through reading literature.
