≪훈민정음≫ 해례본의 초성자 중성자 도표식 분류 대안

Consonant and Vowel Classification Contexts in Hunminjeongeum(1446) Haeryebon and Alternative Classification in Diagrammatic Form

이 연구에서는 ≪훈민정음≫ 해례본의 초성자 중성자 분류를 총체적으로 밝히고 도표식 분류 대안을 제시하였다. 도표식 분류는 훈민정음 문자 이해와 교육에 매우 유용한 도구이기에 좀 더 정확하고 효율적인 분류 관점과 내용이 적용되어야 한다. 이에 다음과 같은 대안을 제시하였다. 첫째 상형의 바탕이 되는 초성자 5자와 중성자 3자 명칭은 기존의 기본자 라는 명칭보다는 상형기본자 라고 불러야 훈민정음 28자(초성자 17, 중성자 11)를 가리키는 기본자 와의 혼동을 피할 수 있다. 둘째, 초성자든 중성자든 상형기본자 외 글자는 운용자 로 일컫는다. 셋째, 초성자에서 가획자와 이체자를 배타적으로 분류하지 말고 이체자를 가획자에 포함시키고 기존의 가획자는 일반 가획자로 이체자는 특별 가획자(이체자)로 하위 분류해야 한다. 넷째, 초성자 중성자 분류에 쓰이는 훈민정음 표기 한자음은 동국정운식 한자음을 적용하지 말아야 한다. 다섯째, 초성자, 종성자 전체 분류에서 해례본만을 바탕으로 분류하는 기본 원칙이 필요하며 언해본은 부차적으로 고려한다.

In this study, the classification of the initial consonant letter and the middle vowel letter in the text of Hunminjeongeum(훈민정음 해례본) was comprehensively clarified and an alternative to the classification of the chart type was suggested. As tabular classification is an extremely useful tool for understanding as well as teaching Hunminjeongeum characters(Hangeul in 15th century), a more accurate and efficient classification perspective and content should be applied. Accordingly, the following alternatives were suggested. First, the names of the five initial characters and the three middle characters, which are the basis of the hieroglyph, should be called “basic hieroglyphics” instead of the conventional “basic character”, avoid confusion. Second, any letters other than the “hieroglyphic basic character”, whether it be a initial characters or a middle characters, are referred to as “management characters”. Third, in the initial letters classification, letters with strokes and letters of different shapes are not classified exclusively. Instead, letters with strokes in the existing classification should be classified as general Letters with strokes, and letters of different shapes should be subclassed as special Letters with strokes. Fourth, the Chinese consonants used in the classification of the first and the middle letters should not be applied to Dongguk-Jeong -un-style Chinese consonants. Fifth, in the entire classification of the first and last consonants, a basic principle of classifying only the Haerye text(1446) is necessary, and the Korean translation version of Hunminjeongeum(훈민정음 언해본) is considered secondary.
