소셜 네트워크 분석을 활용한 초등국어교육 연구 동향 분석

Analysis of Research Trends in Elementary Korean Education Using the Method of Social Network Analysis

본 연구는 소셜 네트워크 분석의 방법을 활용하여 초등국어교육 분야의 연구 동향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 KCI에 등록된 논문 중 초등국어교육과 관련된 논문의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료를 대상으로 전처리를 실시한 후, 동시출현 단어 네트워크 공저자 네트워크 연구기관 네트워크를 분석하였다. 동시출현 단어 네트워크를 분석한 결과 초등국어교육 연구는 ‘학교’를 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 그리고 ‘학교’와 ‘교과서’, ‘사회문화’, ‘교육과정’, ‘학생’, ‘내용’이 연결되어 있었다. 또 시간의 흐름에 따라 주요 단어가 조금씩 달랐다. 저자 네트워크를 분석한 결과 공저는 2명 사이에서 반복적으로 이루어지는 경우가 대부분이었으며 같은 연구기관에 속한 연구자 간에 이루어지는 경우가 많았다. 연구기관 네트워크를 분석한 결과 이화여자대학교 가 연결중심성이 가장 높았고, 한국교원대학교 가 매개 중심성이 가장 높았다. 네트워크 분석 결과로 미루어 보아 초등국어교육 연구는 학교 에서 더 나은 국어교육을 실행하기 위한 방향으로 이루어져 왔다. 앞으로 초등 국어교육 연구의 폭과 깊이를 더 확장하기 위해서는 연구기관 간 교류와 학제 간 연구가 좀 더 활성화되어야 한다.

In this study, research trends in the field of elementary Korean education were analyzed using the social network analysis. Among the papers registered in the KCI, those related to elementary Korean education were collected. After pre-processing the collected data, the word co-occurrence network, co-authorship network, and research institute network were analyzed. As a result of the analysis research on elementary Korean education was centered on the “school,” the research fields were “textbooks,” “social/culture,” “curriculum,” “students,” and “contents” linked to “school.” Additionally, research trend has changed over time. Most of the co-authors were repetitively performed by two researchers, who were largely dependent on their institution. As a result of analyzing the research institute network, the Ewha Woman’s University showed the highest degree centrality, and the Korea National University of Education showed the highest betweenness centrality. The study of elementary Korean education was aimed at providing better Korean language education in “school.” In future, exchanges between research institutes and interdisciplinary research should be more active.
